How does ordering and delivery work?

  1. Check your postcode. The checker on each product page tells you whether delivery is free, £30 or £50.
  2. Choose your logs and order online. Add any kindling or coal to the same order.
  3. Tell us where to leave them. Use the Delivery instructions box in the basket, for example a drive, a back gate or a side passage.
  4. We confirm your delivery date after you order, and deliver on a weekday.
  5. You stack and store the logs. See the tips below.

How much does log delivery cost?

Distance from our Keighley yard Delivery cost
Up to 40 miles Free on orders over £75
40 to 60 miles £30
60 to 80 miles £50

How big are the bags?

Bag Size Good for
Net bag 40 litres Carrying by hand, small stores, top-ups
Barrow bag A smaller bulk bag Back yards and smaller log stores
Tonne bag 80 × 80 × 80 cm, about 0.5 m³ A winter's supply for most homes
XL tonne bag 90 × 90 × 90 cm, about 0.7 m³ Fires most evenings, fewer orders

A full tonne bag needs a space a little over 80 cm square where it's dropped, and it's far too heavy to move by hand.

What if access to my home is tricky?

If you live on a narrow lane, a steep street or a terrace without a drive, a barrow bag or net bags are much easier to get to your door than a tonne bag. Tell us about steps, gates or parking in the Delivery instructions box, or call us on 07435 515639 before you order.

How do I move logs from a tonne bag?

Empty it into your log store with a wheelbarrow, a few logs at a time. Stack the logs off the ground, under a roof, with open sides. If you can't move them straight away, cover the top of the bag so rain stays out.

Can I collect instead?

Yes. Collection from our yard at Farrahs Saw Mill, Park Ln, Keighley BD21 4US is free, and often available the same day. Call 07435 515639 so your order is ready when you arrive.
