Logs for Calder Valley homes
Many homes here are on steep streets, with steps or no road access to the door. A barrow bag or 40-litre net bags are much easier to move than a full tonne bag. Where we can drop a bulk bag near the house, the tonne bag of mixed hardwood keeps a stove going far longer between orders.
Areas we cover
We deliver across Hebden Bridge, Mytholmroyd, Heptonstall, Old Town and Cragg Vale, and across Todmorden, Walsden and Cornholme. Every HX7 and OL14 postcode is in our free area. Down the valley we cover Halifax, and over the tops Burnley.
Smoke control in the Calder Valley
Calderdale Council marks its smoke control areas on its environmental map: scroll the legend and select Smoke control areas. The council is clear that wood is not an authorised fuel inside a smoke control area unless you use an exempt appliance.
Outside a smoke control area, our logs suit any wood-burning or multi-fuel stove, or an open fire. Inside one, you need a Defra-exempt stove to burn them.
