Logs for Bradford homes
If you have room for a log store, a tonne bag of mixed hardwood means fewer orders through the winter. Without a drive or front garden, a barrow bag is easier to get through to a back yard. If your home is in a smoke control area and your stove is not Defra-exempt, use an authorised smokeless fuel instead of logs (see below).

Smoke control in Bradford
Parts of Bradford are smoke control areas, and the council publishes a detailed map of the boundaries. Start with Bradford Council's smoke control page, or use the Defra map, which covers all of England.
- In a smoke control area with a Defra-exempt stove: you can burn our kiln-dried logs.
- In a smoke control area without one: only authorised smokeless fuels are allowed. The council can issue a fixed penalty of up to £300 for chimney smoke.
- Outside a smoke control area: any of our logs are fine, as long as you burn them in a suitable appliance.
